Some stuff to settle. Anyway i just posted it up here to clarify things. I've sent an email to her as well. and its easier for the cheer team to see since i wrote this as captain of the team.

Dear Elaine,

First of all, as the captain of the Fibonacci cheer team, I apologise on behalf of a few of my team members for their inappropriate behaviours and insults towards the Fleming cheer team. I admit that i was aware of the blog entries by two of our members, Joanne & Tiffany, but have not done much to intervene or stop them in any way, therefore i apologise for that as well.

I understand that two of your team members, Caitlyn and Mariel, to be specific, are upset over what Tiffany has wrote in her blog entry. This is taken note of, and I give you my promise that any comments targeted at the Fleming cheerleaders in her blog will be removed asap. I am not trying to side with Tiffany, I do admit that she is at fault, but not entirely. It has come to my notice that Caitlyn had blogged in return as well, after having read Tiffany's blog, while Mariel had also crudely insulted the Fibonacci cheerleaders on Caitlyn's tagboard. Correct me if I am wrong, but Tiffany's entry is only representative of her own opinion, thus I feel that Caitlyn should not have over-generalised and insulted the Fibonacci cheerteam based on just one person's comments. There was definitely no need for that. As such, I hope that as the Fleming cheer team captain, you would request for these entries to be removed as well. Please also do take note that the editting of photos is considered as an act of defamation as well, and Caitlyn could be sued for it. I will not be held responsible if Tiffany decides to take legal action against Caitlyn.

For Joanne's case, I understand that the both of you have already settled it personally and her entry has also been removed. This case is closed and I hope it will not affect the relationship between the two teams.

I hope you understand that my purpose in this letter is to get rid of the rivalry between our cheer teams. Enough bad blood has been created for the past term. Sure, it does spurs us in some way to train harder, but ultimately, it does not induce a healthy competition, neither does it potray cheerleading in a positive way to the school. If need be, I will get Tiffany to apologise personally to the Fleming cheer team. In turn, I hope that your team members will also understand that they are at fault too and apologise to the Fibo Cheer members who they have insulted and caused harm to.

PS: Fleming Cheerleading is also one of the house cheer teams setting the standards for our juniors to follow, I respect it and I hope Fibo cheerleading deserve some respect from Fleming cheerleading as well. Let's work together to promote cheerleading in our school!

Yours truly,
Eugenia
Captain, Fibonacci Cheerleading Squad.
